Marlborough Heritage Weekend

Marlborough’s Heritage Festival has blossomed from a one-day, Main Street celebration into a weekend of events held throughout the downtown area for audiences of all ages.

The annual Heritage Weekend will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016, Saturday, October 1, 2016 and Sunday, October 2, 2016.

The festivities will begin Friday night with an evening of music under the stars  located on the upper parking deck behind City Hall. Saturday continues the celebration with the Oktoberfest. Sunday we will have our traditional Marlborough Heritage Festival which includes the always competitive Chili & Chowder Challenges! In addition to our usual Heritage Festival activities, this year’s festival will feature a Farmer’s Market.

The 2016 Marlborough Heritage Festival, hosted by the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, marks the 21st Annual Marlborough Heritage Festival. The festival celebrates the City’s rich heritage and cultural traditions, and is a day of fun for the entire family. General admission and parking are free.

The popular Chili & Chowder Challenges return this year with local restaurants and caterers battling it out to win top honors by a panel of judges and participating visitors. It begins at 12:30 pm and those wishing to taste and vote for their favorites can purchase tickets for $5 per person. (Winners in past years.) If you want to be one of the Challengers, check out the Rules & Regs and fill out an application (coming soon!).
